The nose shows quite a bit of development and lots of complexity, with aromas of blackberry, dark-skinned plums, dried cherries, violet, cedar, eucalyptus, anise, graphite, cocoa, and touches of leather, tobacco, forest floor, and smoke. The palate offers a seeming contradiction of juicy and dried black fruits, along with the herbal, floral, and savoury notes repeating, and background hints of clove and cocoa. The finish is long with dried black fruit, anise, cocoa, and cedar. The medium high, supple tannins and juicy acids are smooth and well-integrated. Very balanced and elegant overall.
