Like Many Super Tuscans, which blend "international" varieties with an indigenous one, this northern Greek wine takes much the same approach. And, like Super Tuscans, this blending, along with a dose of oak, tends to obscure the regional character of the wine. Yet, despite that, this is indeed a very good, if not identifiably Greek, wine. Ripe, concentrated black fruits on a firmly tannin structure and a lingering finish. Hold another couple of years. Tasted Mar 2017.
