Vintage-character port is a blend of various vintages, made in a style that gives the depth and character of a Vintage Port, but at a fraction of the price. This is because it is bottled young, in contrast to Vintage Port, which must be aged for up to 2.5 years in wood and then bottle aged for 10 to 30 years. It also tends to have a longer shelf life once opened. This delicious, densely coloured port has layers of sweet ripe blueberry and Damson plums with cassis and dark chocolate.
