Very pale golden colour. Crisp, subdued nose of honeydew and Granny Smith apple, with a hint of guava. Palate quite different: acidic and bright, with citrus and Anjou pear over a decidedly steely minerality. Light-bodied, almost watery. Fairly short. Refreshing acidity suitable for summer. Well made but unexciting. Needs food. Worked well with falafel.
There's not much to say about this other than it's simple and crisp, but well balanced. Light-bodied with fresh acidity, this wine is mostly dominated by white grapefruit notes along with a bit of tree fruit and a dash of minerality. It's not a stunner, but it's not meant to be, especially at this price. Would be particularly refreshing on a hot afternoon with some fresh seafood. Tasted February 2015.
