I used to drink this brand as a teenager with girlfriends. A reasonably good time then, and still a reasonably good time now. A nose of cold cherry juice, cranberry, oatmeal, sprouts and celery water leads to bubbles that are finely placed in the mouth. The palate gets a little more savory with just-melted butter and sardine bones. For under $13 and available the entire planet over this is a good wine when looking for value and Cava character.
Perfect sparkling wine for Mimosas
Description: Light straw in colour with a medium to medium+ intense nose and fine mousse. This simple sparkling wine features lime, honeydew melon and green apples. Medium to light body with good acidity and a fairly long length.
Negatives: None
Interesting Notes: For the extra $1.50, Freixenet’s black label, Cordon Negro, reviewed on this site, is far more superior.
Drink now on its own or mix it with orange juice and have it with your eggs for breakfast.

Fresh and fruity on the palate with a nice finish, this wine has a nose filled with green apple, citrus and a hint of peach. Good-sized bubbles and a reasonable choice for an aperitif.
