Another VINTAGES (2011) shipment of this great value in Côte Chalonnaise Chardonnay from the most southerly portion...

A little oxidative but with brilliant acids and excellent depth. Notes of lemon, earth, leaf and dried herbs. Classic...
A lovely, fresh, highly drinkable Montagny (chardonnay from southern Burgundy), with no discernable wood influence....

my bottle didn't say 1er on it??? Mine was a Bourgogne...am i mistaken? In any case, this is a lovely wine staying true to it's French roots - there's truth in tradition. Round and juicy but lean and focused with a nice crisp saltness to the finish. I love Chards from Côte Chalonnaise - Great value and consistency.
