This is light to mid-weight, fresh, taut and tart edged young pinot mindful of basic Burgundy. Expect woodsy, sour...

...gees, at this price, most Pinot's usually suck, however HoP really crafted a quality entry level Pinot in 2012. Firstly 2012 was a hot sunny year, perfect weather for ripening grapes in our cool climate. As a result the acid is balanced out by the sugars and we end up with a smooth velvety Pinot with all kinds of complexities. Cherry, cranberry, roses, smoke vanilla, and just a little earthy funk. Really impressive! This is perfect for an every day sipper.
