A very elegant pinot noir, with deep cherry fruit, red plum, notes of cedar, bramble, leaf, porcini, cinnamon bark...
It really is quite amazing what an extra year beyond what earlier thought can do for a wine like the Grower’s Blend...
Tasted again in November 2016: Fully fading at this point; drink up.
Showing some signs of fatigue at this stage,...
Now maturing into pale garnet-brick red, this pinot has a lifted, somewhat volatile nose with sauerkraut, dill,...

Medium-to-high aromas featuring cherry, exotic spice, earthy undertones and subtle oak aromas. Medium-bodied on the palate with surprisingly chalky tannins. Has bright acids and pleasing aroma replays that continue on to the long finish that is earthy with subtle spice notes. Tasted June/2015. Score: 90+ pts

This vintage suffers from high acids resulting in sour fruit. Very light firm tannins. Subtle cherry oak notes. Simple.
