A terrific value Rasteau that has more gumption and structure than previous vintages. Notes of blackberry, thyme,...

Mostly dark red fruit on the nose including raspberries and cherries and also slightly floral. Nice black fruit on the palate with some pepper and a little smoke. Decent length and dusty tannins.

This review is for the 2013. Young Rasteau with deep ruby colour. A hint of funk, then floral, garrigue, cherry fruit, pepper, tar, black olive and smoke. A sour finish with sticky, dusty tannin that needs more time to soften. Good length. Give this a couple of years to integrate. Sept. 2015.

Classic south Rhone. Blackberry fruit along with smoked meat, local herbs and pepper. Smooth and quite approachable, I would say that this is at its peak. I'd suggest drinking this '12 by the end of 2017 to capture the fine fruit. Solid Rasteau here from Chapoutier. Tasted May 2016.
