The 2010 Tenuta Sant'antonio Monti Garbi Ripasso Valpolicella Superiore, a Corvina blend, has fullish aromas of dates, prune and toast on the nose and dates and figs on the palate. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, fruity wine; with crisp/refreshing acidity, refined tannins (decant for 15 min) and a medium finish. Though food friendly, this wine is quite enjoyable on-its-own; drink now and for the next few years (>4 cm cork enclosure). My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 89 pts – recommended for its quality. Tasted in May/14.
