This gracefully maturing Amarone is surprisingly approachable at this stage and undeniably appealing. No shortage of...
This is quite rich, rounded almost sweet amarone with all kinds of gamey, leathery, twiggy and rhubarb-cherry jam...

The 2010 Montresor Amarone Della Valpolicella has intense aromas of eucalyptus, blackberry and clove on the nose and black berry and black cherry on the palate. It is a full bodied, dry, integrated wine; with checked acidity, subtle to refined tannins (decant for 15 min) and a medium to long, silky finish. Though food friendly, this is a sipping wine; drink now – 2018. My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 89 pts. Tasted Nov/13.
