Who knew Village Beaujolais could be so good...Give it a second to open up in your glass...it's opens up like a rose does to spring, revealing rose petels, sweet berries, waxy cherries, earth and game notes. Fresh and smooth on the palate, finishes with structure...light bodied. Nothing to complain about here...lovely is the best word to describe this little piece of wonderful.

Light, fruity and refreshing. This wine is excellent for summer drinking, but as indicated by a number of reviewers - it needs a bit of time to open up.
Purchased at the LCBO when it was discontinued - for less than $7 this is an absolute steal.
Kudos to Steve Thurlow for the heads up on this lovely Gamay discontinued by the LCBO. What a steal at $6.80 and a perfect summertime red. Red berry nose with peppery spice on a lighter body with juicy acidity. Load up if you can find any left and drink by the Fall. Pair with salmon skewers, chicken and lighter pork dishes. July 2015.
