There are many jammy easy drinking reds from California on the shelves and this is much the same as the others but it...

Had a wine tasting party with five couples who brought 2 types each. Of the ten the was the leader by all.
This California red opens like many approachable wines in its genre and one expects fruit forward, easy drinking, slightly confected, not a lot to think about, dreamy. But as Mr. Thurlow points out, there's a little more here that bumps it slightly above the norm for entry level Cali red blends. Red fruits, notably cherry, sweet but some spice and tobacco/herbs that cuts off the sweetness at the end of it's moderate length. Good acidity means this will pair nicely with pizza or tomato based lasagna. Sips well on its own. Not the best value, but widely appealing. Oct. 2013.
Another easy drinker in this red. Nothing all too remarkable or distinguishing about it, yet enjoyable, nonetheless.
Medium light ruby in colour with a medium to medium+ intense nose.
This will appeal to those that like a sweeter style red with lots of flavour & low tannins
Positives: This wine features light oak, cherry, raspberry pie, mesquite and lavender. Medium body with light tannins, good acidity & a fair long length.
Negatives: A touch on the sweet side
Interesting Note: Environmentally friendly winery
Drink now on its own or pair it with stuffed bell peppers.
