Moldova is a small country but a large wine producer, and this one, from the Cahul region, offers good value. In fact, it’s better than most Italian grigios, and cheaper. Expect ripe yellow apple–plum fruit, lemon and some minerality on the finish. Nicely balanced and fruity. Discontinued at LCBO
