This captures that certain silkiness, softness and density that defines Chateauneuf. But it is not the most elegant...

This may not be the most elegant or vital example of a Chateauneuf, but it still is an excellent wine, with lots of that classic peppery taste. I gave it several hours in the carafe, and I had no problem with a bitter or gritty finish.
