San Silvestro Riserva Barbaresco 2007, Docg
Barbaresco (Nebbiolo)
Piedmont, Italy

This was aged for 18 months in Slavonian oak. Pleasantly aromatic, with cherry, cedar, cassis and a lifted violet note. Easy-drinking and elegant in style with firm tannins and a crisp acidity framed by excellent fruit. Nice, long finish. Try this one with beef or lamb stew, or grilled steak with a mushroom sauce.
