A semi-translucent light cherry coloured wine, this Gamay opens with aromas of strawberry and spice. LIght to medium on the palate, fresh red fruits carry through (again notably strawberry and cherry) with pepper and a hint of bitterness and oaky vanilla. Tannins are present but mild. The acidity doesn't quite measure up to the fruit, but all in all the wine is decently balanced. There's a nice lengthy finish here. Chill slightly and decant for 15-30 minutes. Grip it n' sip it! August 2013.
