This is a biodynamically produced, firm, complex and elegant chardonnay that will age well. The nose is very lifted, spicy, smoky and vanilla cream-like, with toasty notes and poached pear fruit. The finish is grippy with lemon, peat and toasty notes; the length is excellent to outstanding. Prepare to give it some time in the glass, and perhaps in the cellar. This is intriguing stuff. Tasted March 2013. Score: 93 (David Lawrason, WineAlign.com, Mar 2013)

This shows balance and focus with complex mineral and grapefruit aromas mixing with creamy butterscotch and baked apple. Mid-weight and creamy on the palate with peach/pear/apricot flavours and tidy mineral finish. Careful not to over chill, and serve with crab and avocado salad or California sushi rolls.

A balanced wine with notes of wet slate, apricot, melon, lemon zest, and subtle hints of mulberry. Medium plus body, with good acidity and length. Tasted July 2014.
