The 2010 Emiliana Coyam is composed of 38% Syrah, 27% Carmenere, 21% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Mourvedre and 1% Petit Verdot that was oak aged for 13 months in 80% French and 20% American Oaks. It has intense notes of smoke, prune, dark chocolate, eucalyptus, blackberry, black currant and vanilla. It is a full-bodied, extra-dry, fruity to integrated wine, with good acidity, refined tannins (decant for 30 min) and a long, tongue coating, silky finish. Drink on its own, though ready now, cellaring for 2+ years will enhance the wine – drink now to 2020+. My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 90 pts (+1-2 evolution potential) – recommended for its quality.
