This is a kinder, gentler Barolo with very elegant well integrated, smoky, toasty, dried herbs, cedar, currants....
A lovely Barolo that offers, depth, elegance and enticing nebbiolo character. Fragrant nose of cherry, strawberry,...

My notes are from the 2003 vintage. Ripe sweet red cherry, with hints vanilla and dried fruit. While very little iof the wine was aged in small barriques, I do sense a bit of oak on the palate, though it does not detract. Still some firm tannin on the finish. A very good Barolo, especially considering the heat of the vintage. For drinking now, but should hold several more years. Tasted February 2015.
