Statti Mantonico Bianco 2010, Igt Calabria
Other White
Calabria, Italy

This Calabrese white shows superior refinement, great restraint but also wonderful complexity and depth. Alcohol feels a bit high but there is a great deal to appreciate on this vibrant, balanced and sensual palate. Medium-bodied with notes of pear, honeydew, lemon crisp green apple and white pepper. The touch of spice on the finish adds to the memorable quality of this wine. Score: 90 (Sara d'Amato, WineAlign.com, Jan 2013)Critic Reviews (3)

Fresh and zesty nose of apple and sour berries, only a touch of brown butter, but a lot of flavour, some bitterness and heat on the finish. A great zesty, juicy alternative to chardonnay, good with herbed garlic chicken.
