Walnut brown in colour. The nose has typical aromas of toasted walnuts and caramel along with some more fresh, almost citrus, notes. On the palate, it's dry, full-bodied, and has a lovely finish that, along with being very nutty, defines umami in a wine. Absolutely amazing wine that is one of the best values I've had in a long time. Truly look forward to drinking this again. Tasted May 2013.

How do Sherry producers stay in business charging this kind of price for this kind of quality? Ah well, I guess you do what you must when you're out of fashion. As others have noted, this has classic nutty, figgy flavours, but I was impressed with how smooth and supple this Oloroso is. Lingers on the palate for a good minute. Wonderful stuff.

Medium-brown colour and made in a dry style. Has characters of walnut, salted butterscotch, and teriyaki notes for a light savoury (umami) finish. March 2013
