Mahi Sauvignon Blanc 2012, Marlborough, South Island
Sauvignon Blanc
Marlborough, New Zealand
$19.95 (63941)
Engaging owner/winemaker Brian Bricknell honed his skills (in Maori Mahi means my work, my craft) as winemaker in Hungary, France and Chile before returning home to produce some very good savvy, aromatic whites and pinots in Marlborough. This Sauvignon Blanc has an extremely intense and fragrant nose, with floral, lime and tropical fruit aromatics and a touch of flintiness. Lovely mid-palate weight, depth and texture with racy, balanced acidity. Dry, with a very long finish. Drink now or over next 2 to 3 years. Pas tout à fait d'accord avec la notation. Acidité prononcée, léger, finale surette. Bon, mais pas pour en racheter.
