Château Gruaud Larose 2007, Ac St Julien
Bordeaux (Cabernet Based)
Bordeaux, France
$75.00 (580753)
Befitting the character of the vintage, the 2007 Gruaud Larose is both sincerely refined and marvellously integrated. Dark ruby in colour, it is lightly yet finely toasted, possessing beautiful, textbook aromas of currants, plums, graham crackers, dried black cherries, scorched earth, forest floor, asphalt, vanilla, and spice. Complex, with great fruit, firm yet accessible tannins (common in ’07), and a totally refined hint of currants, red plums, and pencil shavings on the finish. Mid-weight in substance; first-rate in style and finesse. 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot, and 2% Cabernet Franc. Now-2022+.
