Quinta De Ventozelo Reserva Tawny Port, Doc Douro

A great sip for warm conversation at the end of a cold day. Bright orange-tawny colour with gorgeous aromas of fig, raisin, applecinnamon and cloves. Fills the senses once again on the palate, with warm fruit and spice notes lingering on the finish. Roasted nuts or blue-veined cheeses will complement nicely. This is delicious. It’s very smooth, creamy and of course sweet, with classic prune/dried date fruit marzipan, milk...

It's only wine but I like it
Typically sweet, with notes of dried fruit, raisins, and hints on nuts. Smooth and approachable, with decent acidity to balance the sweetness. As Mr Lawrason notes, do chill it a bit. Very nice value, just what the doctor ordered for a cold February evening!. Tasted Feb 2013.
