This great value is proof that it’s smart to buy “little” wines in “big” vintages like 2005. This is evolving nicely with bright garnet-brick colour. It shows appealing, complex raspberry jam, leather, smoke, herbs and peppery aromas. It’s mid-weight and settling into a smooth delivery, with some creaminess, warmth and sandy tannin, with tobacco and pepper on the dusty finish. Very good length. Quite seductive. Best now to 2015. Tasted October 2012. Score: 89 (David Lawrason, winealign.com, Oct. 24, 2012)

This is a maturing, fairly spicy and lifted cabernet-based red with currant fruit, herbs and earthiness. It's...

Enjoying a glass now. Wonderful aroma and nice tastes of raspberry, some leather, peppers...nice finish and a good length. I have to say this is not my favourite Cote de blaye wine. The raspberry taste is a bit too strong for me. I much prefer the cote de blaye bordeaux blend by Chateau La Raz Caman with the tastes of darker fruits and a bolder tannins and a longer finish
