An excellent serious merlot with good varietal character. Expect a nose of dusty blackberry and black cherry fruit...

Raspberry, plums, mint, earthiness, and herbs on the nose. Lots and lots of fruit with soft tannins. The wine is medium-bodied and excellent value.
Purple Moose
The nose is quite complex, with smoky, peppery notes commingled with black fruit notes. There is a pleasantly crisp acidity on the palate. Unfortunately, the tannins and length disappoint. The mouth feel is watery and the length is poor. Nevertheless, good value.
