Agustinos Gran Terroir Pinot Noir 2010, El Butapichun Vineyard, Bío Bío Valley
Pinot Noir
Chile
$16.45 (296616)
A pretty, pale ruby colour leads to aromas of ripe red cherry, hickory smoke, red plum, vanilla, cinnamon toast and a hint of earthy beetroot. It’s very dry with an elegant frame and pure warm red fruit flavours, along with smoky oak accents and a bit of spice. There’s a lively seam of acidity and a bit of tannic grip holding it all together. Firms up some on the medium-plus finish. A delicious match for beef-andparsnip stew, ratatouille and other autumn comfort foods. (VINTAGES panel, Aug. 2012)Critic Reviews (2)
