Medium-deep ruby in colour. The wine had an overlying nose between Roquefort gorgonzola, almost masking the fruit characteristics. Letting this calm down with a little more swirling, the wild berries, cocoa and herbal notes emerge. The fruitiness translates into the palate to make for a fuller-bodied mouthfeel. Interesting array of characteristics. Sept 2012
