You know what, I don't think the WA critics got this one correct. At first pop, agreed it is pungent and almost not pleasing. I corded it up and tasted it 24h later and it was ripe with black cherry, violet and cherry cough syrup on the nose. The palate had incredible weight and it was silky smooth like a true Burgundy. You know what, in a line up - at first pop this wine does not do well. Decant for two hours or more and it's a super star. Not all wine are made for lab analysis. This definitely proves that point when looking at John Szabo or Dave Lawrason's scores. Let it breath!!!
