A pretty rich style with a lot of ripe pear, overripe apple, banana, honey, and minerality on the nose. These flavours continue on the palate. Creamy in the mouth, there's nice acidity to keep it reasonably fresh. Has really long finish. Not an amazing bottle, but definitely agreeable at this price.
This off-dry Vouvray is the product of the fussy and somewhat unpredictable Chenin Blanc grape. 2009 was an exceptional vintage in the Loire Valley and the ripeness of the fruit is evident in the weight and notable sweetness of the wine. But balance is the key, and this Vouvray offers a refreshing streak of acidity that completes the package nicely. Tasted May 2012.

A subtle chalky minerality on the nose, with pear and a tangerine high note. Off dry palate, rich mouthfilling ginger honeyed layers - stonefruit and citrus. Lengthy finish with a lively minerality. Such a nice long cork, perhaps I should have held on to it for a while. Wine Spectator says drink through 2016. July 12
