The 2007 Tamarí Ar Malbec is a medium to full bodied, fruity to integrated wine, with intense aromas of black cherry, blackberry, vanilla, oak and faint leather on the nose and blackberry and sandalwood on the palate. It has a balanced structure with refined tannins (decant for 30 min), good acidity and a long and smooth finish. It is still a bit young, drink 2014-2020. Though this is a crowd pleaser that has no regional identity or character and that lost the essence of Malbec, it should not take away from the fact that it is a nicely balanced wine. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 91 pts – give it a try. Tasted May/12.
