The 2001 Bodega Del Abad Dom Bueno Crianza is a light bodied, aged wine, with intense aromas of red currant, cherry, caramel and leather. It has a nice structure with good acidity, refined tannins (decant for 30 min) and a medium to long finish. At its peak now, but should still hold well for another 5 years (5 cm cork). My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 90.5 pts - great value and hence a recommended buy - get a case! Tasted March/12.

91 - tasted March 2012
This wine did not impress me at first, but the rich coffee liquorice flavour really grew on me. Nice long finish too. I have been complaining a lot lately, so it is really nice to find a wine that over performs. Watch out for the sediment. Great wine.
I decanted this one off the sediment and let it stand for 30 minutes (thanks Dan & Blair above). Very nice wine, I'm glad I bought more.
How often do you find an 11 year old $15 wine?? For those who like aged wines, this is a true steal. Still, surprisingly, ruby in the glass with aromas of cherries, herbs, and leather. These flavours continue on the palate. A very savoury wine with medium+ tannins, nice refreshing acidity, and a long finish. Make sure to decant! Tasted March 2012.
