Think Valpolicella on steroids! A very full, almost port-like viscous quality; intensely concentrated aromas and flavours of stewed black fruit. There is considerable heat that comes across as cracked pepper on the finish. It’s a bit too much for me but this will certainly appeal to those looking for a casual wine for a group setting. Very fruity, with notes of cherry, berries, fig and pepper. Nice light finish
