Medium-bodied red here from Portugal. Flavours of dried red fruits (cherries, cranberries) with a light spicy accent. Not the depth of Crasto, for example, but nice complexity and structure for a $12 wine. Even has a good finish. A great weekday wine when short of cash...or even when not... Tasted May 2012.
Sour cherry, plus something I cannot identify but does not belong in wine. I looked again at the reviews to see if there were any code words for that which I missed, but found none. So the reviews let me down this time. I can do much better for eight bucks.
Great value wine. perfect for a table wine.
