This is a fairly intense, generous Cape sauvignon with fresh dill/basil, seaweed/kelp notes and ripe persimmon guava...
A typically herbal, green, wet ash and sweet and sour styled sauvignon from Darling in South Africa. Flavour...

Probably the most aromatic wine I have come across in a while. Pale straw colour in the glass with just the slightest green highlights. The nose vaguely reminds me of sweet and sour soup at the Chinese buffet while on the palate, zesty passion fruit and some typical herbal flavours accent the exotic aromas. A nicely balanced Sauvignon; try it with an Asian dish.

The 2010 Spice Route Sauvignon Blanc is a medium bodied wine with intense aromas of quince, pear and slight green foliage. It has refreshing acidity and a mineral finish. My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 89 pts - recommended buy (not many left). Tasted Jan/12.

A lovely wine at this price point. Great acidity! Good length. If you don't like that overly grassy Sauvignon Blanc then this one is for you. I picked out some herbal notes such as bell pepper and asparagus along with fruit characteristics like green apple.
