Emiliana Adobe Reserva Syrah 2009, Rapel Valley
Syrah
Rapel Valley, Chile
$12.95 (213553)
A lovely organic Syrah that offers incredible value. Ruby-purple in the glass, with richly layered aromas of earth, smoke, pepper and black raspberry, and a hint of bacon. Medium bodied, with good balance and freshness and a fine, elegant, balanced structure. Black pepper really emerges on the mid-palate. Tasty, smokyedged finish. Pair it with smoky bacon-wrapped beef kebabs. (VINTAGES panel, June 2011)Critic Reviews (2)

Deep ruby colour with purple highlights. Deep, dark fruit aromas of black berries and blue berries. Hints of oak and smoke. Strong alcohol esters. Medium bodied. High alcohol. Medium minus soft tannins. Medium length. Lingering alcohol warmth.
