A smooth and classy cabernet from Chile. Expect aromas of cassis and black cherry fruit with herbal and mild spice...

The 2009 Casa Lapostolle Cabernet Sauvignon is a medium bodied, integrated wine, with intense aromas of blackberry, smoke and eucalyptus. It is on the acidic side, is tannic (decant for 30 min) and has a finish of medium length. It is a food friendly wine that can be enjoyed now and for the next 3-5 years. My impression: NICE, 88-89 pts - on sale now for $14.45 till November 11th. Tasted Oct/12.

2010 vintage. Intense currant, cassis and mint aromas. Medium-bodied with flavours of oak, spices and raspberry. Integrated tannins a bit green, will reward ageing 1 year. Long finish. Tasted Nov/2012.
