1998! I love letting the Spanish age my wines for me. A great Gran Reserva - you can certainly taste the barrel aging and notice that the tannins have been smoothed out. Maybe it's the paella speaking but this is the best wine I've had this year.

The 1998 Bodegas Hermanos Laredo Senorio De Laredo Gran Reserva, composed of 80% Tempranillo, 10% Mazuelo and 10% Graciano, is medium bodied, intensely aromatic, INTEGRATED to aged wine. On the nose, leather, oak and coconut show, whereas the palate displays cherry, coconut and vanilla. Tannins are refined (decant for 30 min) and in balance with acidity, resulting in a nice long finish. It is ready to drink now, but since it is still quite youthful for a 1998 vintage, it can still be cellared for 5 years. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 91 pts and definitely recommended buy. Tasted June/11.
