Brick-amber-garnet colour showing some maturity although not uncharacteristic of this primarily Montepulciano blend...
This mid-weight montepulciano (with a splash of merlot) has a fine nose with an even confluence of oak mocha, dried...

The 2006 Vitalonga Terra Di Confine is a medium bodied wine with nice aromas of integrated black cherry, pine, oak and vanilla. It is tannic (decant for longer than 1 hour) and with a nice long finish. For tannin lovers - drink now, other people should cellar it for 2-3 years at least and it will age nicely for 10+ years. My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 90 pts - a recommended buy. Tasted Aug/11.

Very dark colour which announced it would be heavier than other Montepulciano wines. Still has a tannic edge to it (but no more greenness), which went away after 30 minute of decanting. Nice complexity to this wine and decent long finish. Tasted April 2014.
