Ripe blackberry, cherry, spice and smoke on the nose. The palate is dry, medium-full bodied and deliciously spicy, with consistent fruit flavours and a lovely, lip-smacking, peppery finish. An excellent value, it will pair with medium-rare peppercorn steak, braised duck breast with a Bing cherry sauce, or with aged firm cheeses such as Gruyère. (VINTAGES panel, June 2010)

Quite nice but an average wine - good at the price?
