This has a tight, smoky, herbal/sage nose not uncommon in B.C. wine. It's medium weight, generous yet battened down...

Description: Light gold in colour with medium+ intensity.
Positives: Beautiful Chard nose with lemon meringue, apples, medium oak & toast. This Chard has a long taste with a medium body.
Negatives: Although it has a nice long finish, part of it is bitter.
Drink now or cellar it for another 3-5 years. Drink on its own or pair it with roasted chicken.

Pale lemon, this 60% oaked wine offers upfront aromas of spiced pear, lemon, acacia honey and butter. The volcanic soil gives it a spicy note, while the deft use of oak imparts a full, rich texture, with cedar undertones in the lingering finish. Pair it with pan fried lemon sole, topped with toasted slivered almonds and grilled zucchini.
