Incredible fruity red that would welcome even the novice vinophile. The tobacco and black cherry notes blend well with the anise and earthy undertone. A wonderful example of a grape that has thrived in Ontario.
This wine has a lot going for it. A lovely tobacco, clove, nutmeg, ripe plum, cherry, liquorice, earth, black currant nose; pretty complex for the price. There's some good acidity, and a balanced fruity finish with a hint of tannin. It was a bit like a spicy cigar, if you like that kind of thing.

Initial fruit flavors lack grip, high acidity and tart finish.
