One of the best tasting oak wines we have ever had
The tase is strong and comes in two waves
Smoth tasting with low acidity
Great hint of two kinds of Baries
Very enjoyable Cabernet Sauvignon at a price that will please most. Great selection to keep on hand for every day drinking. A definite staple of our home cellar. Tasted November 2011.
Have to say that I love this wine.
Medium bodies, smooth, smoky, cedary delicious.
Drink 2011 to 2015 w/ red meats
I have been noticing that when it comes to over-extraction, the recent releases of J. Lohr have improved considerably. The 2009 J. Lohr Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon is medium bodied, fruity to INTEGRATED wine, with intense aromas of raspberry, blackberry and coconut. It has a good structure with nice acidity, refined tannins (decant for 15 to 30 min) and a medium to long finish. It is ready to drink now and should be for more than 5 years. My impression: very NICE, 89 pts - a bit too expensive for $21.95 for what it is. Tasted Dec/11.

strong finisin.
Strong and fruity, bold up front. All the flavours at the front leaves nothing for the finish.
