Light ruby with brilliant clarity. Immediate mild spices on the nose of soft black pepper and cardamon followed by waves of raspberry and cherry. This wine starts out very feminine and fruity but then it gets more interesting with smoked ham and clove rising from the glass. On the palate the wine is matched with fresh red berry fruit, tight, bright acidity. Lots of strawberry and then chervil. Very delicious, not a funky pinot by any means. Great with roast turkey, pork tenderloin. Drink now or hang on to for 5 years.
