The Coppola flagship is 93.8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4.4% Malbec, 1.6% Petit Verdot, and 0.2% other, varieties. This has a lovely, highly aromatic, complex, and layered nose of dark-berried, currant, blackberry, dried herbs, oak spice, savoury earth, and red cherry aromas. It's full-bodied and well-structured with very nicely aroma replays that echo on the palate. It has very good, structured acidity, and well-structured tannins. Herbally, red and black fruit, and touches of graphite mineral notes linger on the finish, with excellent length. Tasted Apr. 2024.
