The medium-high to highly aromatic nose has attractive, sweet and ripe dark red and black fruited aromas of cassis and currant accented with cedary oak and savoury earth notes. It's full-bodied with very nice, attractive aroma replays joined by grilled herb and mint characters on the flavour profile. It has juicy acids and well-structured, approachable tannins. Cedary oak tones linger on the long finish. Tasted Sept. 2023. Score: 91+ pts

Now that Wynns black label cab has (justifiably) risen in price (now $45), we now have this Siding Cab from Wynns filling in the mid-$20 price point. And a stellar red it is. Fresh, balance, complex with such well-integrated oak that one hardly notices. Sneaky tannin comes along on the long finish. Certainly fine to drink now, but should age for several years....in fact, hold off 12-18 months if you can. Really excellent. Tasted July 2024. I have never been to Australia...one day perhaps.
