Charles Cimicky Trumps Shiraz 2006, Barossa Valley, South Australia

This is a maturing almost baked, raisiny and portish shiraz with chocolate fudge, leather, cigar and menthol notes....
A full-on, raisined fig and date special, with abundant chocolate and cacao powder. The palate is fullish, generously...

This will appeal to the new-world/modern over-the-top/jammy preference. Highly extracted; this one is a mouth full. Lots of rich flavours and quite weighty. Rather than Yellow Tail and Fuzion, serve this instead - they'll love it. A bit pricey though. Drink it young. (northof9finewine, Tasted Nov 2010)
