Unusual for such a late release for a wine from the Roussillon (LCBO must have found it in a corner of their warehouse). Certainly showing a great deal of maturity, with the primary red fruit fading into a slightly more oxidized state, backed by some herbal and black pepper notes. I rather like this wine, though I think it might be just a wee past its peak, though still very good. Picked up for $20 on sale. Tasted Apr 2023.
Nicely aged wine that reminded me of a Medoc wine. Aromas of dried herbs, cassis, violet, and game. Juicy flavors of cherry, raspberry, oak, honey, and dried herbs. Soft tannins with medium acidity. Nice value wine. Tasted June 2023
