Blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca & Tinta Barroca. has a fresh, ripe, medium-high intensity nose offering lovely aromas of dark berry, blackberry, schist mineral, wet earth, & spice notes with hints of wild herb. On the medium+ bodied palate it has lovely replays of dark berry, schist-smoky mineral, licorice & wild herbs flavours supported by fresh, well-balanced acidity & structured, slightly chalky tannins. Enticing purple fruit and floral notes emerge with time in the glass. Minerally and savoury with subtle spice notes linger on the long, juicy finish. Tasted Nov/2021.

Re-tasted Nov 2022 - consistent notes.
A fine vintage of this multi-variety blend from Crasto. Only 15% of this wine sees any oak, so pure Douro is what you taste here. Ripe, dark fruit, almost lush, with well-judged acidity and tannin - none of the lean/austere notes that marred the '15. Great to see one of my fav wines from years ago back on form. Drinking fine now, can hold a few years for sure. Tasted March 2022.
